Born in Rome in 1956, Luigi Stefano Cannelli completed his artistic studies in this city, graduating in Stage Design from the Accademia di Belle Arti. He has since collaborated with some of the most important Italian set designers, such as Pier Luigi Pizzi, working mostly in the lyrical theatrical environment
In the field of the arts, Cannelli's first period could be interpreted as a fertile period of stylistic research encompassing the many techniques used throughout the history of art, from the Middle Ages to the present.
By the mid 1980's, Cannelli's stylistic research was acclaimed by Giorgio Tempesti as one of the most original of the neomannerist period.
