Realizing that I have been an artist for over 40 years, I have come full circle from early days of painting, then on to printmaking and handmade papers, and now back full-swing with oil painting. Subjects are derived from my love of nature and my photography of it. I have hiked through California and many foreign places, with a great focus on the natural surroundings. I use oil and oil glazes as well as mixed media techniques to capture the essence of nature and share its beauty through my artwork. My work is included in the Bank of America Corporation Art Collection, San Francisco and many private collections. I've had 22 reviews and catalogs and inclusion in Marquis Who's Who of American Women. My education includes Denison and Ohio State Universities and workshops with University of California, Berkeley. I was instructor in both printmaking and handmade paper; had 12 one-person shows in the Bay Area and Placer; recipient of 18 cash awards; past vice-president and Board of Directors, Marin Society of Artists. Lincoln, California is my home with my husband, Herb. Our 5 grandchildren are all college students pursuing different careers!
During a recent storm with rain, sun and double rainbow etched against the sky, I told myself: I always will be chasing rainbows!
